Quack Quack!

My friends and I were looking for a restaurant to eat in and with all the choices along Robson street, we found ourselves at the tip of Granville Street. We were making our way back when I saw a small building at the a corner. It had Tsui Hang Village Seafood Restaurant fancily written on it. Although you wouldn't expect it from the exterior, the place was very spacious with draped circular tables, high ceilings, golden vases, statues and a crystal chandelier as a centerpiece above. The stark white lights and black minimalist lines surrounding the area is reminiscent of Chinese restaurants in the Philippines. We had Barbecue Duck, Beef Hotpot and Yang Chow Rice. It wasn't busy because it was late in the evening so all the servers had their eyes fixed on you but aside from that minor discomfort they were very attentive and nice.

It only costs $12 for half a barbecue duck. It was so crispy and juicy!

The three dishes fit perfectly with each other. We were a wee bit afraid the prices would go over our budget but it wasn't even expensive. We only spent around $30.00 for three people and we weren't able to finish everything!

The next day my family and I went to Crystall Mall, a teeny tiny mall with mostly Asian stuff inside. When we went to their foodcourt, lo and behold, everything was ASIAN! Of course it felt like home and I was giddy with excitement because the choices weren't limited to honey garlic chicken or beef broccoli. Sushi, dimsum, noodles, bibimbap, hainan chicken you name it they got it! I was still craving for duck though so we bought our food at Delicious Barbecue where you can get two choices of  any barbecue dish with rice for $7.99 and an additional $1.50 for soup. Warning though, they only accept cash.

We had duck, pork and ribs barbecue. The pork barbecue being the most delicious of all. Just be carefull about those salted onion chives, they were too salty. Seems like someone accidentally spilled too much salt. All in all it was totally worth it and I am definitely going there for my quick fix of asian food.
