Sketching and Drawing Class I '11

I had my own table in that old dingy science lab/art classroom. There were about 15 of us, mostly older people taking up art lessons for recreation. Our instructor was a woman with a British accent named Sue. She was tall, lanky and fragile looking. She always brought with her an assortment of things that jingled in her bag. We'd each pick an object to draw.

The class ended at 8:30 in the evening and I would walk towards the bus stop with my Japanese classmate. I forgot her name, she was a lot older than me but quite talkative. It was always cold, windy and raining and the roads were desserted save for a few passing cars.
