Mapo Tofu

One of my all-time favorite dish is Dynasty Court Hotel's Mapo Tofu. I always get excited when mom would bring home take-out food from Dynasty because I knew she would never forget to order a family favorite.  I tried looking for recipes so I could try and recreate one. Unfortunately my Mapo Tofu doesn't look red, like it should. It doesn't taste as good as Dynasty's but it's passable. A little more salt would do.

I got the recipe from this website. But I didn't really follow it since I lacked the different kinds of chili it required, and I had no chicken broth!

I think if someone were to put more effort into their dish they could make something delicious even with the lack of ingredients. Let's just say I'm not that person.
